Can the employee sign off the settlement digitally?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Gastrora sends a WhatsApp link with the PDF, prepared in the employee's language (German, French, Italian or English; the English version states that the German version is authoritative). The employee accepts and signs, or raises an objection. The timestamp is documented in a legally valid way.

What happens with a negative overtime balance?

Accepted Answer

Gastrora offsets the negative balance against the vacation or rest day balance, provided the contract allows it, and shows the remaining amount. No more manual reconciliation in Excel.

Is the vacation reduction under Art. 329b OR calculated automatically?

Accepted Answer

Yes. For unpaid absences of more than 1 month, the vacation entitlement is reduced proportionally, in line with the rules of the OR (Swiss Code of Obligations).
