How does Gastrora handle night work?

Accepted Answer

Every shift between 23:00 and 06:00 is flagged as night work. Gastrora checks the 11-hour rest period under Art. 15a ArG (the Swiss Labour Act) and calculates night supplements under the L-GAV automatically.

Is the maternity protection rule built in?

Accepted Answer

Yes. As soon as an employee's status is set to pregnant or breastfeeding, Gastrora blocks night work and checks the SECO protection rules (max. 4h standing, max. 9h per day, breastfeeding breaks).

How are weekend supplements calculated?

Accepted Answer

Gastrora supports supplements agreed in the employment contract (e.g. Sunday +25%) and calculates them per shift. Configurable per business.

Can we swap shifts at the last minute?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your employee writes “Swap” in the WhatsApp chat and the request reaches you straight away. You see it in the dashboard, pick a suitable replacement and confirm — both are informed via WhatsApp.
